Medical exchange activity between Vietnamese border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China)
Within the framework of the Spring Meeting between the Provincial Party Secretaries and the 13th Conference of the Joint Working Committee between the provinces of Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Ha Giang (Vietnam) and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) in 2022, on March 25, 2022, the Departments of Health of four Vietnamese border provinces and the Health Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) organized a medical exchange activity. Attending the activity were leaders of health agencies and representatives of a number of related departments, commissions and sectors; On the side of Lang Son province, attending and chairing the activity was Mr. Ly Kim Soi, Deputy Director of the Department of Health.
In the past time, four Northern border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have frequent medical exchange cooperation, including cooperation in cross-border disease prevention and control and international quarantine. In particular, amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the parties actively exchanged information about the pandemic situation, promptly supported medical supplies for pandemic prevention and control.

Speaking at the exchange activity, leaders of the Departments of Health of four border provinces and the Health Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region informed each other about the Covid-19 pandemic development, measures to prevent and control the pandemic of their localities, together agreed that the parties would continue to promote the effectiveness of the coordination mechanism, exchange information on the Covid-19 pandemic, strengthen the support of medical supplies and equipment to prevent the pandemic, improve the quality of health care for the people, contributing to local socio-economic development.
Addressing the activity, Mr. Ly Kim Soi, Deputy Director of Lang Son Health Department expected that in the coming time, the two sides would continue to share experiences in disease prevention and control; continue to cooperate in the prevention and control of major infectious diseases of mutual concern; share and agree on the medical inspection process for means of transport, import and export goods to strengthen customs clearance capacity at border gates...
