Lang Son Province attends the Ministry of Foreign Affair's meeting with the Delegation of Wakayama prefecture, Japan in Hanoi

On the afternoon of July 27, 2023, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu chaired a meeting and worked with Governor of Wakayama Prefecture, Japan Kishimoto Shuhei and the Delegation on the occasion of the Delegation's visit to Vietnam from July 26-30, 2023.

Attending the meeting were representatives of local leaders: Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Son La provinces and leaders of the Northeast Asia Affairs Department, Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  On Lang Son side,  Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Standing Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his joy in welcoming Governor Kishimoto Shuhei and the delegation to visit and work in Vietnam in the year commemorating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan; The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the Governor's efforts in promoting friendly cooperation between Wakayama prefecture and localities of Vietnam. On this occasion, the Deputy Minister requested the Governor to continue paying attention and building friendly and cooperative relations between Wakayama prefecture and localities in Vietnam, including Lang Son, Son La and Bac Ninh provinces.

At the meeting, Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee introduced about Lang Son province, he expressed his wish for the province and prefecture to establish friendly exchanges and cooperation in many fields, especially in agriculture and trade, technology transfer, agricultural product processing, export of some key products, and labor cooperation. He respectfully invited the Governor and delegates to visit Lang Son and investors from Wakayama prefecture to survey and research investment in the province in the coming time.

As for Wakayama province, Governor Kishimoto Shuhei expressed his impression of the socio-economic development achievements of Vietnam and Vietnamese localities in recent times; He affirmed his readiness to further promote exchanges between localities of the two countries.

Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, presents gifts to the Governor of Wakayama prefecture. 

At the end of the program, the Governor agreed to continue actively discussing with Vietnamese localities, including Lang Son, Son La and Bac Ninh provinces to promote cooperation in the coming time.
