Lang Son Provincial Department of Health holds talks with the Delegation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

On August 12, 2024, the Lang Son Provincial Department of Health held talks with the Delegation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China led by Mr. Li Jiawen, Head of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China at the headquarters of the Provincial Department of Health. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Hoang Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Health and leaders of departments and units under the Department.

At the talks, delegates of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China briefly introduced the tradition and development of traditional medicine in Guangxi, the potential for cooperation in the field of traditional medicine between the two sides in medical examination and treatment, human resource training, and development of medicinal herbs; introduced about the Guangxi Medicinal Herbs Botanical Garden, expressed their willingness to cooperate and support Lang Son province in training human resources, developing model medicinal herb gardens, sharing experiences in processing medicinal herbs, combining medicinal herb gardens with tourism; introduced an overview of the organizational structure, human resources, treatment results of Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital; the hospital's potential in training, fostering, and cooperation in Traditional Medicine.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health Hoang Xuan Truong expressed his pleasure in welcoming and working with the Delegation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine  Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and gratitude towards the Delegation for the cooperation suggestion in research and development of traditional medicine, medical services, training... These had further affirmed the strengthening of exchanges and cooperation in the field of health, especially traditional medicine, which had been agreed between the Lang Son Provincial Department of Health and the Guangxi Health Commission. The Deputy Director of the Department of Health affirmed that he would assign the specialized divisions under the Department of Health and soon advise on the implementation of cooperation contents between the two sides in the medical field.

Within the schedule, the Delegation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China visited and worked at the Traditional Medicine Hospital of Lang Son province. Here, Mr. Hoang Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Health introduced about the formation and development process of Vietnamese traditional medicine, briefed on the traditional medicine system of Lang Son province, medicinal herbs of Lang Son province and the agreed contents in the talks between the Lang Son Department of Health and the Delegation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between the Department of Health of Lang Son province, Vietnam and the Guangxi Health Commission of China; committed that the Department of Health of Lang Son province would direct medical units to soon implement training activities in general and in the field of traditional medicine and pharmacy in particular based on the needs of Lang Son Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital in terms of training, medical examination and treatment, medicinal herb development... in cooperation with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

The Delegation of the Department of Traditional Medicine of Guangxi, China expressed its high support for foreign affairs activities, training exchanges and cooperation between the two sides and wished to welcome and support medical staff of Lang Son province participating in training courses in Guangxi according to the agreement between the Department of Health of Lang Son province and the Health Commission of Guangxi.

          At the end of the working session, the Delegation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China visited and surveyed the General Examination Section, the Surgery Room of Gynecology and Surgery Section, the Section of Rehabilitation, the Section of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and visited the Medicinal Herb Garden at Lang Son Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital./.
