Leader of the Provincial People's Committee receives and works with the US CT Strategies Company

       On the morning of June 27, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of the US CT Strategies Company (CTS) led by Mr. Andrew Farrelly, CEO of the company to discuss the project of developing free trade zones, non-tariff and converting industrial zones into free trade zones in Lang Son province

Overview of the meeting

Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of the Management Board of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, representatives of leaders of departments, commissions and sectors: Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Customs and leaders of Cao Loc , Loc Binh, Van Lang districts.

CTS is a customs and trade consulting firm based in Washington DC, USA. The company provides technical support and capacity building services for customs modernization, trade facilitation, logistics solutions, port management and development of free trade zones. At this meeting, the company wishes to work with the province to build free trade zones, non-tariff zones, and convert industrial parks into a free trade zone, non-tariff zones.

During the program, both sides exchanged and clarified the contents related to the construction and development of free trade zones in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked CTS for the attention of CTS Company for Lang Son province, at the same time, he acknowledged the contents presented by the representative of CTS Company, the proposed contents of CTS Company are in line with the province's policy of attracting investment. He also informed CTS Company about the potential and strengths of the province, the development planning of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, orientation of development of non-tariff zones, development of trade and service zones associated with border gate economy and investment incentives. He assigned the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Bordegate Economic Zone to be the focal point to receive the proposals of CTS Company, at the same time, support CTS Company to find and associate partners to consult and build free trade and non-tariff zones in the province.
