Organizing the Vietnam - China International Trade and Tourism Fair (Lang Son 2024)
On July 31, 2024, the People's Committee of Lang Son province issued Plan No. 181/KH-UBND on organizing the Vietnam - China International Trade and Tourism Fair (Lang Son 2024). According to the Plan, the Vietnam - China International Trade and Tourism Fair (Lang Son 2024) (hereinafter referred to as the Fair) will be organized by the People's Committee of Lang Son province in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade from December 1, 2024 to December 6, 2024, with the theme of Linkage - Cooperation - Development.
The Fair aims to strengthen the friendly and cooperative relationship between Lang Son and Guangxi in particular, and Vietnam and China in general in the fields of trade, tourism and people-to-people exchange; to develop foreign trade within the framework of the National Trade Promotion Program in 2024 and the Trade and Tourism Promotion Program of Lang Son province in 2024; to act as a bridge for Vietnamese and Chinese businesses to strengthen cooperation, promote trade activities, import and export of goods, seek partners, joint ventures to expand the market for goods consumption and cooperate in tourism development...

It is expected that over 100 domestic and foreign organizations and businesses will participate in the Fair with over 240 booths, including domestic and foreign economic organizations; Trade Promotion Centers, Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Centers under the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities; Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centers of provinces and cities and other trade promotion organizations established in accordance with current laws; Tourism Promotion Organizations, Associations, industries; Vietnamese businesses, travel businesses, businesses in some localities of China and Chinese businesses operating in Vietnam, businesses of some ASEAN countries and Korea.
Organizations and businesses will participate in activities of displaying, introducing products, trading, exchanging information, connecting, signing cooperation agreements between organizations, businesses, Associations, contributing to connecting businesses of both sides to strengthen cooperation, promote trading activities, import and export of goods, seek partners, joint ventures and expand the market for products and cooperate in tourism development.
The products displayed at the Fair will include agricultural, forestry, aquatic and seafood products, food, medicinal herbs; machinery and equipment, raw materials, chemicals, construction materials; electronics, electrical refrigeration, household appliances, household tools; footwear; consumer goods; wooden household furniture, handicrafts, etc., with priority given to typical and key products, OCOP products with export potential of Lang Son province and other provinces and cities in the country; tourism products; publications, brochures about investment, trade and tourism promotion, logistics, banking and financial services, etc.
In addition, there will also be art performances and sideline activities of the Fair such as signing cooperation agreements; announcing new tourism products; programs to improve skills, apply and develop cross-border e-commerce; tourism seminars or conferences to promote the province's tourism potential, contributing to enhancing the promotion and introduction of the potential, strengths of investment, trade, tourism and cultural identity of Lang Son province; thereby continuing to attract investment capital into the province, to develop tourism, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in the future./.
