Provincial leader attends the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Singapore diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership
Receiving the invitation of the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam, On the evening of August 1, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, together with leaders of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Foreign Affairs attended the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - Singapore diplomatic relationship (August 1, 1973 - 2023) and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership in Hanoi.
Attending the ceremony were Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; representatives of leaders of agencies, sectors and localities of Vietnam, the Diplomatic's Missions and People of the two countries Vietnam and Singapore.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan sent congratulations to the Government and people of Singapore on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and 10 years of the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership.
According to the Vice President, the political-diplomatic relations between the two countries are increasingly consolidated and strengthened. Economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries is a model of bilateral economic cooperation in Southeast Asia. Singapore is the leading country in ASEAN and second in the world in terms of investment in Vietnam. Vietnam-Singapore industrial parks (VSIP) have become symbols of the success of economic cooperation between the two countries, including Lang Son VSIP, whose investment policy was approved by the Deputy Prime Minister in May 2023.

Speaking at the ceremony, Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam affirmed that the Singapore-Vietnam relationship is built on mutual trust and respect, and is cultivated through regular exchanges in all levels.
Also at the ceremony, the delegates enjoyed cultural performances and visited the exhibition of images of the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Singapore over the past 50 years.
