Delegation of Lang Son city attend the Program on Sharing Experience and Knowledge about School Meal Programs in ASEAN Cities
From July 22 to 26, in Bandung city, Indonesia, the delegation of Lang Son city led by Mr. Tran Tien Nguyen, Vice Chairman of Lang Son City People's Committee, along with representatives of departments and sectors, attended the activity "Sharing experiences and knowledge on school meal programs in ASEAN cities" organized by the Secretariat of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP) in coordination with the Government of Bandung city, Indonesia.
The program was attended by nearly 30 cities in the ASEAN region, with the aim of providing, guiding and equipping knowledge and practical tools for the Governments of cities in the ASEAN region on the sustainable implementation of school meal programs, providing adequate nutrition for students in the region, thereby developing the potential and health of students in the future.

Within the framework of the program, delegates listened to speakers who are leading experts in the fields of education, nutrition and food safety exchange experiences and practical application of school meal programs in a number of countries, experiences in transforming the potential of urban food policies, food safety and hygiene, building nutritious, balanced and diverse meal menus, thereby drawing lessons and experiences to apply and build school meal programs suitable for their localities. In addition to the activities at the conference hall, the delegates also had the opportunity to visit the Saung Angklung Udjo Cultural Village and survey the pilot school meal model at Negeri 2 Secondary School, Bandung City, Indonesia.
Attending the signing ceremony of membership in the Milan Urban Food Policy Treaty, Mr. Tran Tien Nguyen, Vice Chairman of Lang Son City People's Committee, together with representatives of cities in ASEAN countries, officially signed to join the Milan Urban Food Policy Treaty with the goal of developing a more sustainable urban food system by promoting cooperation between cities around the world.
